Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)
Masgutova courses have met the stringent continuing education criteria of both the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). We are working with the state-level American Physical Therapy Association Chapters, as the national organization does not have an approval process for CEU programs. We are proud of our association with these professional organizations and our ability to meet their stringent CEU criteria for quality and consistency.
AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association)
One of the primary objectives of the American Occupational Therapy Association is to promote high professional standards and the continuing competence of occupational therapy practitioners. As such, AOTA has established thirteen criteria that providers must meet to demonstrate and assure program quality and relevance for occupational therapy practitioners. These specific criteria and guidelines reinforce the quality, relevance, and consistency of continuing education activities offered to occupational therapy practitioners. Masgutova is proud of its association with AOTA and our ability to offer AOTA CEU supported content to occupational therapy practitioners. AOTA can be found on the web at: www.aota.org
ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 140,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists, speech-language pathologists and speech, language, and hearing scientists. ASHA is committed to ensuring that all people with speech, language, and hearing disorders receive services to help them communicate effectively. ASHA ensures quality in continuing education through their credentialing program. This program requires approved providers to plan, conduct, evaluate, and continuously improve their continuing education courses using the standards and requirements established by the ASHA Continuing Education Board. The Continuing Education Board monitors adherence to the standards through initial approval, ongoing review of providers’ courses, and a formal 5-year review process. Masgutova is proud of its association with ASHA and our ability to offer ASHA approved CEU courses for speech, language, and hearing professionals. ASHA can be found on the web at: www.asha.org
APTA (American Physical Therapy Association)
The American Physical Therapy Association is a national professional organization representing 74,000 members. Its goal is to foster advancements in physical therapy practice, research, and education. APTA recognizes that continuing competence of health care professionals is of the utmost importance and encourages and supports continuing education and career development of its members. While APTA, as a national organization, does not approve continuing education providers or courses, it does specify standards of quality for CEU offerings and provides an approval process for members who wish to gain CEU credit for courses taken. Furthermore, APTA maintains state level chapters, which are in place to offer support to professionals within their home state. Masgutova intends to begin a process to work with each state to assure the MRNI® program conforms to the individualized state requirements. In the meantime, physical therapy professionals can use the national criteria and work with their home state chapter to gain CEU credit for MRNI® program courses. APTA can be found on the web at: www.apta.org.
NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork)
