Concussions are a leading cause of emergency room visits worldwide,and incidence rates are increasing at an alarming rate.Symptoms vary from mild to severe and may be temporary, long-term, or cause death.This MINDS Group presentation will begin by introducing concussion statistics, grades, and types. Protective anatomy of the brain will be explored to better understand the physiological mechanism of a concussive injury as well as tips to minimize concussion risk. The lecture will continue with the concept of intervention after concussions and present research data demonstrating positive outcomes using MNRI®techniques on concussion clients as seen via QEEG testing and neurotransmitter analysis.A few of these techniques will be presented to conclude the presentation.
