The Svetlana Masgutova Educational Institute (SMEI) is committed to a sustainable future. We are excited to provide a digital course manual with every class registration, both online and in-person. While we invite you to join us in our efforts, we understand hard copies may be easier for some. Therefore, printed manuals will remain available for purchase. To order yours, use the link provided on your receipt or via your MasgutovaMethod.com account.

The Masgutova Method® is a set of programs focused on the restoration and maturation of primary movements, reflexes, coordination systems, skills for optimal performance of natural mechanisms, developmental processes, brain functioning, and sensory-motor integration. MNRI® INTRODUCTION TO INTRONAUT AND INFANT REFLEXES INTEGRATION

MNRI® Introduction to Intronaut and Infant Reflexes Integration is a 24 hour course offering information on specific neurosensorimotor exercises for the mother and intronaut during pregnancy and birth, and neurosensorimotor exercises for the infant during the first 10 days of the infant’s life and during the first year of life.  This course will offer specific information important to the health and well-being of the mother and child based of the concept of reflex integration.  Each exercise will be completely explained, demonstrated and practiced during the course content.

Learning Objectives:
  • Investigate the progression of reflex patterns from intrauterine development through birth, the neonatal period, infancy, and the first year of life.
  • Relate the MNRI concept of the intronaut (developing fetus) and its role in early reflex pattern development and preparation for birth.
  • Analyze the impact of prenatal and birth-related stress or trauma on reflex development, including the protective role of reflexes and their influence on regulation and development.
  • Differentiate the role of foundational movements and reflex patterns in supporting brain development and overall sensory-motor, cognitive, and emotional function.
  • Analyze how MNRI and sensory-motor strategies may support optimal neurosensorimotor development during pregnancy and the first year of life.
  • Relate how neurosensorimotor reflex integration and foundational movements serve as a preventive and supportive approach for both mother and infant impacted by stress during pregnancy, birth, or early development.
  • Apply principles for creating individualized MNRI® programs for mothers and infants with varied developmental, regulatory, or birth-related challenges.
  • Analyze developmental milestones across the first year of life, including motor, language, social-emotional, sensory-motor, and reflex maturation components.
  • Differentiate indicators of immature or dysfunctional reflex patterns in newborns and infants.
  • Apply MNRI principles within professional scope or practice to support early neurodevelopment, early intervention, and prevention using Therapeutic Home Exercise Programs to promote optimal developmental outcomes and occupational performance.
