The Masgutova Method® is a set of programs focused on the restoration and maturation of primary sensory-motor patterns, reflexes, and skills for optimal performance of developmental mechanisms and brain functioning. The Masgutova Method® is oriented on the stimulation of reflex patterns to support genetic sensory-motor schemes, self-regenerating programs, strengthen sensory-motor memory and facilitate stress-management and PTSD recovery. The MNRI® facilitation of nervous and immune system support, stress resilience, and neurodevelopment is realized through support of the neurophysiological reflex circuit functions. 

The mission of the MNRI® Program and Svetlana Masgutova Educational Institute® Neuro-Sensory-Motor and Reflex Integration, LLC is to provide children and adults reliable knowledge and safe tools for the use of natural, genetic sensory-motor resources to facilitate successful neurosensorimotor development, stress management and successful learning. 

Course Description

The MNRI® Best Practices: Reflex Integration for MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinicians Level 1 is an advanced level of the MNRI® professional education and designation program. An MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinician is an advanced-level MNRI® professional with high expertise. MNRI® Best Practices: Reflex Integration for MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinicians Level 1 class provides a foundation for specialists through which to advance their professional training for specialized clinical work with clients.  

An MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinician is an individual who can integrate all MNRI® protocols into their clinical practice. The clinician is especially skilled in a particular specialty, such as Oral-Facial-Motor Reflex Integration, Stress Hormones, Breathing, or Infant Neurodevelopment. 

Participants of this MNRI® Program and Course will take part in both course discussion and hands-on supervised practice. This course aims to provide MNRI® Core Specialists with the knowledge and tools that are necessary to fulfill the requirements to become an MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinician. 

This course proposes a Novelty Program advancing the theoretical basis of the use of the MNRI® Reflex Integration. The content includes practical instruction-steps for cross-use / application of different techniques and materials for in-depth use of the brain-body mechanisms utilizing reflex patterns and enhancing neurodevelopment in the condition of an intensive educational training clinic. 

This course discusses the basis for professional presentation of the MNRI® clinician in-depth materials, clinician responsibilities, personal and group work culture, and working with integrity. 

Its goal is to prepare expert MNRI® professionals to work at MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinics and MNRI® Education At-Home (Level 2, allowing to travel/visit families at home). 

These classes are planned to be organized under the guidance of the SMEI LLC; the materials of these courses are the IP of the MasgutovaIntel LLC and its owners: S. Masgutova and N. Akhmatova. The further practicums and training on these clinician programs will be run by the SMEI LLC at Specialized Educational Clinics. The utilization of these programs can be permitted after exams. 

“MNRI® Intensive Clinics”, “MNRI® Home Education Program,” and “MNRI Authorized Educational Clinics” are based on the MNRI® Trademarked and Copyrighted MNRI® Authorship Programs.

The requirements to apply for the MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinician Training Course are: 

  • Be an MNRI® Certified Core Specialist (attach the copy of the Core status certificate in the SMEI Internet application),
  • Hold a required minimum of BA/BS (attach copy of certificate), 
  • Submit a transcript of a passing grade for Anatomy, Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology (any College, University or SMEI Class – not less than 24 hours of course)
  • Have completed and maintain expertise in a particular specialty, such as, MNRI® PTSD and Stress Hormones Procedure, MNRI® Newborn and Infant Reflex Integration, MNRI® for the NFD Facilitation, Oral-Facial-Motor Reflex Integration and Breathing, MNRI® Reflex and Immunity Integration for Post-Covid Effects and other new planned clinic programs.
  • Completed a required 500 accumulated Authorized MNRI® Conference, Clinic, and/or SMEI instructor hours (all post Core Specialist Certification).
  • Show 3 years of experience actively using the MNRI® Method with clients.
  • Submit four (4) Letters of Recommendation:
    • Two (2) from MNRI® mentoring Specialist/Supervisor and 
    • Two (2) from parents
  • Sign a Contract agreeing to work at:
    • Four (4) minimum 4-Day Authorized SMEI Events (four Clinics or two clinics and two Conferences) each year. 
    • The Clinician title is awarded after signing the above-mentioned contract, completing education on specialized trainings, and passing the final exam: 
      • Completion of the class MNRI® Best Practices: Authorized MNRI® Clinician 
        • Level 1 => 16 hours and 
        • Level 2=> 8 hours
        • Total 24 hours
      • MNRI® At-Home Education => 8 hours. This is an additional available, but not required, class.

Other Requirements to Hold the Title of an MNRI Clinician:

  • Be an MNRI® Core Specialist in good standing: 
    • Meets all requirements to be an Authorized Clinician
    • With Principles of the MNRI®, including work, internal and external professional and client relationships, and ethics.  
  • Requirement of a Clinician’s Self-Education:
    • Publish an internal case study, article, PPT / video, professional blog, or peer-reviewed journal every two years, to be presented at an Authorized Clinic and National and International Conferences. (PhDs familiar with the MNRI® programs will be available for consultations). 
  • Public Activity Promoting the MNRI® Program:
    • Yearly present a total of 2 or more hours of MNRI® presentation such as family education hours in FC/Clinics or MINDS Group lectures, or in professional conferences per year.
    • Attend or view a minimum of 4 MINDS Group lectures per calendar year. 
    • Voluntary work of any kind for at least 10 hours per year. Documentation is required.

Note: These prerequisites allow the Clinician of Level 1 to move toLwevel-2 – Clinician in MNRI® Education At-Home Program (Level 2, allowing to travel/visit families at home condition).

Learner Objectives

Upon successful completion of the two-day, 16-hour MNRI® Educational Clinician: Educational Training, participants will gain the following clinician requirements:

  • In-Depth of Information on how to link the basic MNRI® programs during clinical work with clients.
  • “Cross-use” application of different techniques and materials, and also “shortcut techniques” for in depth use of the brain-body mechanisms utilizing the reflex patterns and enhancing the neurodevelopment. 
  • Explain, demonstrate, and identify how specific information can be adjusted to use with children and adults with neurodeficits, poor reflex maturity, and neurodevelopment.
  • Explain and brainstorm solutions for specific cases using available therapy tools. 
  • Improve the MNRI® care and services of clients.
  • Understand how to fill out Sensory-Motor and Reflex Charts and other information and results in SMEI online system.
  • Understand MNRI® professional and personal integrity, attitude/s and work processes with regard to clients with neurodeficits, poor reflex maturity, and neurodevelopment.
  • Explain the operations and goals of the clinical work and structure.
  • Discuss what happens in the brain and brain-body system, and the effect on the sensory-motor, behavioral-emotional, and cognitive systems using a clinical and intensive approach.
  • Become familiar the clinician’s ethics, values, principles and conduct in MNRI® work with clients and teams (demonstrated through discussions and role play).
  • Learn the MNRI® Clinical Therapeutic Basic Protocol.
  • Understand the proper and consistent application of certain techniques and variations themselves among the following reflex and sensory-motor patterns and receptive fields: Robinson Hands Grasp, Hands Pulling, Hands Supporting, Babinski, Foot Tendon Guard, Spinal Galant, Spinal Perez, Bauer Crawling, Segmental Rolling, Balance, Flying and Landing, Moro, Fear Paralysis and ATNR.

After following this class, the attendee will be able to demonstrate:

  • In-Depth knowledge of the theory of Deep-Layer Reflexes of the Body-Brain system.
  • Cross-use applications of different techniques and materials.
  • Shortcut techniques for in-depth use of the brain-body mechanisms utilizing the reflex patterns and enhancing the neurodevelopment. 
  • Novelty ‘Deep Reflex integration’ techniques.
  • How to fill out the Sensory-Motor and Reflex Charts and other information and results in SMEI online system.
  • The ability to explain how the reflexes become underdeveloped, retained, dysfunctional or pathological and their associated risk factors for the neurodevelopment.
  • Accurate descriptions of the neuro-anatomical dysfunctions of the brain when a reflex “disintegrates” or is immature or improperly developed.
  • Proper utilization of the reflex integration tools for optimizing neurodevelopment of babies born with neurodevelopmental challenges as well as babies who present as neurotypical.
  • Understanding of the required clinician ethics, values, principles, and conduct in work with clients and teams (demonstrated in discussions and role play).
  • The MNRI® Clinical Therapeutic Basic Protocol.
  • Understanding of the proper and consistent application of certain techniques and variations themselves among the following reflex and sensory-motor patterns and receptive fields: Robinson Hands Grasp, Hands Pulling, Hands Supporting, Babinski, Foot Tendon Guard, Spinal Galant, Spinal Perez, Bauer Crawling, Segmental Rolling, Balance, Flying and Landing, Moro, Fear Paralysis and ATNR.
Hourly Agenda
Hour 1-2: 
  • Introduction to the program: MNRI® Best Practices: Reflex Integration for MNRI® Authorized Educational Clinicians.
  • Definitions of an MNRI® authorized educational clinician and their role in the MNRI® organization. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the theory of Deep-Layer Reflexes of the Body-Brain system.
  • Clinician Ethics in Work with clients (modeled in discussions and role play).
  • Principles of the MNRI® Educational Clinical Individual and teamwork (modeled in discussions and role play).
Hour 3-4:
  • Indicate how the reflexes become underdeveloped, retained, dysfunctional or pathological and associated risk factors in the neurodevelopment.
  • Describe the neuro-anatomical dysfunctions of the brain when a reflex “disintegrates” or is immature or improperly developed.
  • Explain and brainstorm solutions for specific cases using available therapy tools.

  • MNRI® Cross-Use Applications of different techniques and materials.
  • Concept of “Shortcut Techniques” for in-depth use of the brain-body mechanisms utilizing the reflex patterns and enhancing the neurodevelopment.
Hour 7-8-9-10-11:
  • Learn the MNRI® Educational Clinic Therapeutic Basic Protocol. 
  • Novelty ‘Deep Reflex integration’ techniques.
  • Understand the proper and consistent application of certain techniques and variations themselves among the following reflex and sensory-motor patterns and receptive fields: Robinson Hands Grasp, Hands Pulling, Hands Supporting, Babinski, Foot Tendon Guard, Spinal Galant, Spinal Perez, Bauer Crawling, Segmental Rolling, Balance, Flying and Landing, Moro, Fear Paralysis and ATNR.
Hour 12:
  • Explain how to utilize the reflex integration tools for optimizing neurodevelopment of babies born with neurodevelopmental challenges as well as babies who present as neurotypical.
Hour 13-14
  • Filling out the Sensory-Motor and Reflex Charts and other information and results in SMEI online system. 
Hour 15-16
  • Homework, report, and passing the final written and hands-on exam for Level-1 class. (The program will be given at the class, which will require accomplishing it within 2 months after the class. Certificate will follow the exam with a passing grade and completion of written work).
  • Discussion and Q/A.
  • Recommendations on clinic practicum attendance and rules, definitions of the clinical structure and organization.

These classes are planned to be organized under the guidance of the SMEI LLC; the materials of these courses are the IP of the MasgutovaIntel LLC and its owners S. Masgutova and N. Akhmatova. The further practicums and training on these clinician programs will be run by the SMEI LLC at Specialized Clinics. The utilization of these programs can be permitted after certification exams and licensing. Licensing every 3 years.

 

“MNRI® Intensive Clinics”, “MNRI® Home Education Program” are based on the MNRI® Trademarked and Copyrighted MNRI® Authorship Programs.

The requirements to become an MNRI® Authorized Clinician include:

o   Being a Core Specialist

o   Completion of the following practical work:

·         minimum of 250 conference / clinic work hours for those with an existing professional license such as MD/PT/OT/ST/massage therapy.

·         minimum of 500 hours for all others.

§  An MNRI® Clinician has completed the 2-Day MNRI® Clinician: Education Training for Intensives and pass the required theoretical and practical exams.

Maintaining Clinician Status:

1.      Work at least two, 4-day MNRI® clinics per year.

2.      Publication of an internal case study, article, testimonial, or peer-reviewed journal. MNRI® Clinicians should aim to publish an internal case study, article, testimonial, or peer-reviewed journal every two years. (PhDs familiar with the MNRI® programs will be available for consultations.) If a clinician has an external conflict of interest that prevents their participation in MNRI® research, then the clinician is invited to engage in other ways, including writing articles, conducting lectures, or presenting a NeuroReflex Exercise event for The Masgutova Foundation within their specialty area. 

3.      Understand the process for serving as a lecturer for the MINDS Group, including submission of abstract, creating a brand standard PPT, and content and presentation expectations.

4.      MNRI® Clinicians also are expected to:

§  Present a total of 2 or more hours of MNRI® presentation such as family education hours in a Family Conference, MINDS Group lectures, or in professional conferences per year

§  Attend a minimum of 4 MINDS Group lectures per calendar year.  

5.      Understand the effect of the MNRI® as demonstrated through scientific research that has been published in peer-reviewed journals. 

6.      Be familiar with the framework that is required to effectively conduct and execute an internal case study.
